Ah, Burbank. I used to hike here regularly when I used to live on Laurel Canyon in nearby North Hollywood. Now I try to time it with a movie over that way to make the most of the drive.
This time I saw Tar at AMC Burbank Town Center 8. The run time could have been trimmed by maybe 15-20 minutes, but Cate Blanchett’s career-best performance more than made up for it.
It’s funny how so many people who live in Los Angeles work in the Hollywood industry and yet have such a lack of appreciation for quality cinema. When the movie ended a woman sitting in front of me loudly declared, “Worst movie of my fucking life!!” Five bucks she received multiple boosters.
Anyway, onto the photos!
When the Stough Canyon trail reaches the “end” you can continue off to the left or the right toward the radio tower. Both have excellent views.

Sipped a full thermos of hot peppermint tea and pine needle tea with some cannabis-infused coconut oil. Excellent muscle relaxant and enhanced the incredible sunset on the way down.

Didn’t even realize the moon was in this shot until I got home. Really pleased with this shot. And no, I didn’t apply a filter. Increased the black point by 15%.
