Sandstone Peak

Rainy? Check.
Muddy? Check.
Windy? Check.
Mud? Check.
Gave it a shot anyway. Seemed like fun.

Still seemed possible to reach the peak at this point…
Mud got way too slick to continue. Really tried to push it, grabbing rocks and branches to avoid slipping. Still fell once anyway. Further up would have only gotten steeper, so there was no point.
Note to self: Make a walking stick.
Refreshing to feel genuinely cold in SoCal after such a brutally hot summer. My New York blood usually keeps me warm no matter what, but being soaking wet + the cold wind did the trick.
For the record, I still wore gym shorts.
